I'm BORED....
It's pretty easy to get bored while you're on the road (or in the plane, train, or boat), so we've included a list of activities that may or may not be useful to you while traveling. And don't forget it's not just you who gets bored during travel-your dog does, too!
Games to Play
Hands-Free Games (Verbal)If you're on the road, sometimes it's just you and the driver. So you can't really play Speed or travel Sorry or any other hands-on games. So, you might want to consider verbal games.

Multiperson Board & Card GamesThese games can be easily packed into bags and taken in carry-ons or in your lap. They are easy and fun to play. These games can be played in the car without a driver or on a boat, train, or plane. Below are a few suggestions.

The DOG'S Here Too, You Know!
Remember, when you travel with a dog, the dog gets bored, too. Try giving your dog some belly rubs or bringing along a puzzle treat or toy. Maybe on the way there, you can stop at a park, let them stretch their legs or maybe chasing a ball for some time.
Books
Looking for something to read while traveling? While iPhone apps and games can sometimes get boring, books usually don't, if you like them. Since not everyone has the same taste in books, I am trying to be as generic as possible. If you get motion-sick in the car, motion-sickness tablets are available. This way, you can read or watch a movie, even on windy roads. Since you probably have a dog, you might like to read about them. Some true stories about pets (especially dogs) that have received high reviews are:
- A Dog's Purpose by W. Bruce Cameron
- A Dog's Journey (Sequel to A Dog's Purpose) by W. Bruce Cameron
- Dewey by Vicki Myron and Brett Witter
- Dewey's Nine Lives by Vicki Myron and Brett Witter
- Racing in the Rain by Garth Stein (both junior and adult version)
