National Travel Week
The U.S. Travel Association recognizes the first full week of May as National Travel and Tourism Week, a tradition first started in 1984. The year before, in 1983, U.S. Congress passed a resolution designating the week. President Ronald Reagan signed a Presidential Proclamation urging every U.S. Citizen to celebrate with the appropriate events and activities. And wouldn't a perfect activity be to travel?
